A year after unionizing, hundreds of private Massachusetts health workers have gotten a raise and workers are calling the news a win for minority workers.

The union for the 250 home health workers at Newton-based Medical Resources Home Health Corp. announced Tuesday that it had reached a tentative two-year agreement with administrators to give employees raises of between $0.99 and $2, bringing wages to between $11 and $14.25 an hour.
