A project designed to improve the intersection where Oak and Christina Streets cross Needham Street has been delayed due to coordination with a utility company, the City of Newton announced today.
This project was originally scheduled to begin in May and completed before Labor Day. But it’s been delayed because the city is waiting for Verizon
to move some utility lines.
This comparatively small project is separate from the long-planned major renovation of Needham Street and Highland Ave., which has also been delayed,
but as Gov. Charlie Baker told the chamber this spring will begin in 2019.
