Shiva’s Kitchen is one of 15 local, independent restaurants participating in Nourishing Newton. Here is Welcome Home’s Executive Director Julie Plaut Mahoney receiving Shiva Kitchen’s delivery of 25 meals last week for distribution to our clients when they pick up their items. As part of Nourishing Newton these restaurants prepare 500 meals weekly and distribute them among Centre Street Food Pantry, Welcome Home, Arabic Baptist Church, Newton Food Pantry, West Suburban YMCA and the Newton Senior Center.
