Pedestrian hit and killed by train near Auburndale MBTA station

A person is dead after being struck by a train near the MBTA commuter rail stop in Auburndale late Tuesday morning, the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

The accident, which occurred on caused extensive delays on the Framingham/Worcester rail line for several hours as police investigated the scene.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is investigating the accident.
