Today we honor the memory of departed members of the Newton Fire Department, and we say that our memories of them will be as a blessing.
To the active members of this fine department, know that we are forever grateful for your dedication, for your strength, and for your courage to hear the alarm, pull on the heavy turnout gear and helmet, and jump on a truck headed to a call.
You run into the danger we run from to protect us, to keep us safe, to save our property and to save our lives.
