What an honor to be joined by Commander Billie J. Farrell of the USS Constitution for our Women’s Leadership Luncheon today at One Wingate Way/One Wingate Way East in Needham.
Farrell, the first female officer to lead “Old Ironsides,” spoke and took questions from an engaged audience – on everything from how at 10 she decided to pursue a career as a Navy Officer, various active tour posts and the role of the navy today, what it’s like day-to-day at the USS Constitution, reflections on leadership and more.
Especially fitting = today is #WomenVeteransDay the 76th anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act.
Commander Farrell leaves her post at the USS Constitution to return to another role at the Naval Academy next week – and we’re so thankful to have had the chance to hear from her before departing from Boston.
Thanks The Village Bank, Insource Services, Esin Susol Team – Real Estate Broker MA and @Riptide LLC for sponsoring today’s event.
